here in Lima it is really a different animal .. the city riiiiiesig that drives traffic scary-no one here with low self-esteem, the car I have my feelings! everything is gray dust and smog-wuestenstadt before the largest of world scale. It is incredible the townships and we live in one of them for the next three wcohen .. but the people are incredibly friendly, sometimes too friendly! than we are today with a Peruvian teacher walked through the quarter, we were behanfdelt really like popstars. when you visit a school, the children came from out-screech not everyone wants a photo with the "gringos". even a smile or a simple "hallo" hin wird sich riesig gefreut... das ist tatsaechlich sehr befremdlich. einerseits findet einen jeder schoen und man ist geschmeichelt, derart im mittelpunkt allen interesses zu stehen. auf der anderen seite (und diese ueberwiegt doch) ist es schrecklich, ueberall beobachtet zu sein, dementsprechend immer nett zurueck laecheln zu muessen und niemals einfach durch die stadt laufen zu koennen, um sich alles anzugucken. man kann sich die situation tatsaechlichkaum vorstellen.
esgefaellt aber trotzdem sehr gut- es sind so viele spannende, fremde neue eindruecke, wie man sich nur vorstellen kann. somit muss ich auch so viel schreiben gerade :)
das essen im romero zentrum ist sehr gut, aber trotzdem peruanisch-also schon gewoehnungsbeduerftig. morgens rolls and jam, potatoes for lunch and dinner with rice or beans or lentils plus some vegetable and meat muuuch. but good:) trotydem I long as expected to the beautiful German sandwich:)
with the English, it runs pretty well: the language course is just beginning on monday, but what is being said to me I understand pretty well. The talk itself is still relatively short, but I am optimistic that it will be better with the course. you just have to come in first. and be forced to talk straight on:)
what is still so .. Peruvians drink sweet tea disgusting. schools in the state are far too many children, that is learned in layers: one coming from morning to noon, die anderen von mittags bis abends.

ich vermisse euch alle, aber es gibt gottseidank nciht viel zeit dafuer. am meisten halt abends. aber wie erwartet hatte ich es mir schlimmer vorgestellt. ich halte mir immer vor augen, dass felix ja "bald" (in ca 5 monaten) nach peru kommt. und ruth und rita ja hoffentlich an ostern auch. und bei den vielen neuen eindruecken hier bin ich gut abgelenkt.
